Rugby: Lions or All Blacks?

are there any brits [english, irish, welsh, or scotts = the lions ] on the site partial to the game of rugby?

for those with no idea what rugby is - it's a little like american football, without the stops, without the protective gear, played in winter, in the rain, hail and sleet [well last saturday anyway].

15 players to a side on the field at a time [unless someone is yellow cards or red carded].

i have read a number of experiences in this discussion forum and quite frankly, i would have to agree that many, if not all, were pretty terrible experiences if not all together traumatic.

i know that my personal 9-11 tragedy resulted in finding out that the watchtower society was involved with the united nations.

that pretty much said it all as far as my "career" in the organisation was concerned.

Could the Spirit world have helped your exit from the religion?

boy, this might be that can of worms i meant to keep closed!.

i was thinking about something though and wondered what your thoughts might be.

if you believe in angels, the spirit realm, spirit guides or spirits of loved ones that have crossed.

Was announced just recent that i am no ...blah blah.

But small sister still talks to me, she went to a meeting with her family last Thur after a very long time about 1 year, because she thinks its time she started going back. (pray God no). That night she had this most horrible dream about the demonds attacking her, throwing her against the wall, can't breath talk and all the rest that goes with this. This I know well because we were taught to always fear this sought of thing and that it is because she has not gone to the meetings and satan wants to keep her in the "world". Satan does not care if you in the "world" or a JW, to him they are both the same thing as long as you don't try and find out about all the liars and nonsense the society has put out all these years he is quite happy for you to keep on thinking like this. This is how he controls the JW.

I said to my little sister that satan keeps her thinking the above for the very reason he does not want her to really know about the real God and Jesus the real Spirit that lives in us.

I know I went off the track a bit about the main theme of the tread, but yes I am starting to also think OUT of the box regarding the Spirit world. God has his angles that minister to us,k if they ministered to Jesus they can help us as well.

Yes the Spirit world can help us get out and stay out.

LEGAL ADVICE..TO SUE ELDER

is there anyone who knows how one goes about doing this thing.. i really feel quite stongly that myself and my daughter loubelle need to sue the elder who did our announcement, and just need to know if anyone has taken this route and if yes then plse advise me.. i have gone from indifference to dont't care attitude to now i want to sue.. if you know our story then you will know that we did nothing wrong, and it was just the way the elders played this game with us that makes us both soooooo mad.

Whats the deal with fading.

i'm not trolling here or trying to upset, i'm not attacking anyone personally or trying to force my opinion on others but having read a lot of people experiences on leaving the org i really can not understand the point of fading.

i understand that people risk losing contact with family members and friends but really what type of friend and how good a family member are they if they are willing to shun you for not holding the same beliefs?.

a bit of background might be in order here.

I faded 8 years ago, just because I was lonely and wanted a taste of the "world", but thought that I would go back, maybe. Until Jan of this year when Loubelle was going to give a talk and realized that I just felt sick of just the thought of walking thru the doors, then I knew I would NEVER go back. But let me tell you the elders knew where I was and where I worked, not once was a call to find out about me. Even during this time my mom and big sister really did not want to have much to do with me, as it was either a JW or not.

Even when I gave up the "worldly" things, to them I still was not back attending meeting.

But once and I mean ONCE they (well my big sister squelled on me) heard that I attended one chruch meeting, then their was no stopping them. 2 phone calls, 2 weeks later they announced their .....no longer story.

So it makes NO DIFF. fading, DFed, DisA. No diffence what's so ever to them. You are either attending meeting (its does not matter if you get drunk, or have intercourse(they cannot say sex) or just plain "stong" or "weak") or not, to them you a a JW and Jah will save you.

That is why I could not give a letter or even meet with them after 8 years, I would not subject or submit to their little games and lord it over me ANY LONGER.

So I am OUT and will stay OUT.

Praise God.

Voting on the Governing Body due to advanced age

i think we need to remember that most of the gb are about ready to kick the bucket, and that effects the way they will try to steer the organization because they have the majority of the vote they are not thinking very long term.. they must know all thier failed predictions and that the end is not really close,, so really they are concerned only about thier own a$$es and want to have a nice position of power and prestiegde up until they die.

they really don't give a rat ass what happens to the org or the publishers when they are dead and gone.

the younger ones(minority) may have concerns that stretch a little more into the future, but only as far as they personally will live.. if we keep in mind the advanced age of these men we may better understand thier voting patern, which should reflect each ones private concerns.

Ray Franz tried to shake things up a bit when he was there, but to no avail, he got the boot. I think once you in you in.

But hopefully if 3 or more of the GB want to take the softer line then they can vote that way. Strange though that they do not ask the Holy Spirit to vote for them.

Always wanted to know what happens to the money? do some of the GB enjoy the takings? or is it all tied up with the Society?

some things confuse me here.

i am in the same position as many where i don't agree with so much the society says and feel stuck dragging myself to the meetings and then feel incredible guilt because the study for the day says it is wrong to have any doubts "even in private".

impossible for me!.

Hi 5th, also new here still. But not new to Jah. My LOVE for him and Jesus is soooooooo overwelming because, NOW, I know, I fall under His Grace.

I do not live under guilt and you cannot as well, because He loves you and your family that Jesus died for you. Wow.

Had my tubes tied. So what!

The only thing that Jah God is interested in, is, do you accept His Son as YOUR saviour. Yes! then do not worry about displeasing him, because you do not.

Talking to you direct from the Spirit.

Holy Spirit! Baptisim of fire??

wanted to know if the holy spirit is the same thing when people talk about being babtised with fire.

does'nt sound the same.. reason being is when i went to this church end jan i accepted jesus into my life (can you believe it, i was supposed to do that when i became a jw or when i got babtised in 1982. just recentley got announced that i am no longer a jw) anyway i felt then that i received the holy spirit and had it quicken in me.

now other people say to me "have i been babtised in the holy spirit?

hmike thanks, really good info you gave to me. That is what i was feeling like, lost and have to find my way around the bible myself, well with the Spirit in me teaching me etc, I was so used to the way JW teach, like bible studies, return visits etc that I think I expected it of this same fellowship I am in at the moment (still thinking of that though) yes need to walk and TRY and not just run ahead of myself. Just so excited that eyes are open to all these different things, which are new to me. ta

What's your view on my "Being the Brother" issue that came up today?

i'm in field service today and i'm not even the guy that took the group out, as a matter of fact, i show up late today as usual.

well anyway, i'm assigned to be on another street with my mother and some other witnesses.

at this point i'm the only brother because the other guy hasn't shown up yet.

Hi, do what your Spirit tells you, but remember that if you are a JW then you will not have the Christ in you (hope this is not too harsh) because if you did you will not be telling other people what the org. believes. But your time is not yet, God will call you and when he does wow then you won't be able to stop. If feel strongley what Jeffacake said "to tell the ones who I taught and became a JW, that it was all liars. Yes I will do it.

Wow Honesty, what a blessing. I never thought that I would get or have Christ live in me, but I have once I accepted him into my life. Its true what he says "Just believe".

Have been praying for the gifts to be imparted to me, especially the one on insight into the scriptures, just feel the need to know EVERYTHING NOW. Prehaps I am holding back because of what I believed before, but praying for grace in that. Just have to wait and see, because that is what the Lord told me. Suppose I just want to rush Him because of the overwheming love I have.
